Driving a motorcycle with a category B driving licence (car)
If you have held a category B driving licence issued after 01/05/2011 for at least 2 years, you may drive a category A1 vehicle on condition that you have attended 4 hours of driver training at an accredited driving school and that you have a code 372 stamped on your driving licence alongside category B (on Belgian soil only).
If you are the holder of a category B driving licence issued before 01/05/2011, you may drive a category A1 vehicle (on Belgian soil only).
If you hold a category B driving licence dating from before 1989, you may drive all types of motorcycles, with no restriction on power of engine capacity. However, for your own safety, we recommend that you attend driver training at an ongoing training centre.
