D.I.V. (Vehicle Registration Department)

Every motor vehicle (as well as any trailer whose maximum authorised mass is greater than 750 kg) must, to be able to be driven on public roads, be registered in the database of the Vehicle Registration Department (D.I.V.). When registered, the vehicle receives a registration certificate and a European format registration number plate.
