Resale – vehicle with valid certificate (periodic inspection)

When you are selling a vehicle, a technical inspection ‘for the purpose of sale’ must be carried out, even if the period inspection is still valid.

If your vehicle has passed a full inspection in the previous 2 months, you can benefit from a simplified inspection. This inspection takes the form of a visual inspection on 33 additional points, plus a brake test. At the end of the inspection, a ‘visual inspection of the vehicle’ document, valid for 1 year, will be issued to you. An official stamp will also be affixed to your most recent inspection certificate.

If, during the visual inspection, your vehicle is found to have a defect, a full inspection will be carried out.
