1 Candidate who has held a category A1 driving licence for at least 2 years and who wishes to obtain a category A2 driving licence.

3 You can take the practical test to obtain a category C driving licence from the age of 18 with a category C vehicle. However, you will receive a category C1 driving licence that you can exchange for a category C driving licence from the age of 21.
4 Under current legislation, you can obtain a provisional driving licence and take your practical test from the age of 18. However, the minimum age for obtaining a full driving licence is 21 (D1) or 24 (D).
5 Holders of a category D/DE driving licence will be limited to regular transports on Belgian soil where the journey does not exceed 50 km until the age of 20, and will be limited to carrying passengers on Belgian soil until the age of 21.
